Introducing Immogene Olivia, the first lingerie company to offer Gender Euphoric Lingerie. We offer a unique approach to lingerie that looks beyond narrow industry conventions and toward the styling needs of a growing number of people: Transgender femmes.
For too long, transgender people who cannot or do not wish to conform to traditional lingerie designs and sizes have been left with options that are either utilitarian and formless or poorly fitting and painful. We are working to ensure that trans femmes have well-fitting, feminine lingerie, that is not just gender affirming, but euphoric!
In 2023, Clarisse Gallaher saw her partner, Jack Gardner, excitedly order and try on some lingerie styles. As a transgender woman, Jack found the fit of the garments was so painful and unaccommodating for her body that it led to tears. Upset by seeing her partner's distress and armed with her industry knowledge from working in intimate apparel design, Clarisse began looking for companies that were creating feminine lingerie that would never make her partner cry again. But as she looked, the options seemed to either be utilitarian at the expense of aesthetics, or beautiful with an agonizing fit.
That wouldn’t do at all.
Clarisse, with Jack’s support and assistance, decided to apply her degree and experience in Intimate Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology to launch Immogene Olivia with the goal of creating the lingerie Jack needed. After lots of measurements, prototypes, and fittings, we created our first line of Gender Euphoric Lingerie!
The idea of Gender Euphoric Lingerie is central to the company’s ethos: That everyone deserves to look gorgeous and feel affirmed by what they wear closest to their body. Above all else, we aim to help move the intimate apparel industry toward a point where all body shapes and sizes have access to lingerie that not only fits but feels empowering. Gender euphoria is not a one size fits all experience and your underwear shouldn’t be either!
